About TE Academy
Welcome to TE AcademyLearn more about who we are!

TE Academy is the first educational organization dedicated to this new crypto-native discipline of token engineering, which was first ever mentioned in 2018 by Trent McConaghy. With TE Fundamentals we’ve laid the foundation for a shared understanding to the cross-disciplinary nature of this field. Our mentors and course authors typically combine a great track record in a related field, and actual practical experience in crypto. So far, more than 3700 student are enrolled in our courses, more than 5000 attended our events. We value cross-disciplinary collaboration and education as a public good. In our study groups, students from all across the globe come together every week to learn in 14 languages, across 21 time zones.

John SzczepaniakThe most exciting aspect of TE Academy to me is the interdisciplinary collaboration. I’ve been participating at the DAO Rewards Systems program. I’m certainly not a developer by any means, but when you participate in in these programs, you get paired up with people who are developers or people from data science or people from math, or people from the humanities. So it's an incredibly rich experience, and I encourage everyone to try it out.

Henrik AxelsenAfter completing a Master's degrees in law and business in top universities, tons of certifications in big consulting firms, and currently pursuing a Ph.D. in computer science focused on DeFi, I really enjoy being part of TE Academy. It brings the right mix of academic theory, complicated business problems, and a multidisciplinary approach. Additionally, TE Academy is able to attract world-class teaching talent. Their collaborations with real crypto and DAO projects makes studying and experimenting so much more relevant - and fun.

Jesús Pérez SanchezThe Internet has made it possible to democratize access to information, which has had a transforming effect on our civilization. Still, it’s necessary to continue working on open access, for example to non-English communities. One of the missions of Crypto Plaza is to facilitate access to crypto knowledge for the Spanish speaking community. Multiple perspectives and cultural diversity is our greatest strength to address global challenges. TE Academy shares this vision, and that’s why we are proud to collaborate.

Christopher HeymannAt 1kx we believe in the huge potential of token-based networks. We invest in projects that strive to unleash the full power of cryptoeconomic systems, and that’s why we support the Token Engineering Academy: Token Economies need builders with the right skills, knowledge and a sense of rigor. TE Academy managed to build up a really unique community, and we are glad to support their work.

Danilo Lessa BernardineliTE Academy is THE focal point for being immersed in collaborative research on DAOs and Web3. A public square where people from all expertise and locations can match up, learn together and take new initiatives. I’m fortunate to have been here since the beginning, and we’ve collaborated over several initiatives, one of them which is the Open Science Research Group on Gitcoin - in which live hack & work sessions were hosted in order to understand and apply science-inspired techniques for collusion detection. I did discover several very capable and enthusiastic people in there, and it was impressive how much was accomplished collaboratively in less than 3 months. That by the way – is a special thing about the people getting into TE Academy: they’re always systematically surpassing expectations both in quality and numbers. The TE Academy is as of now, one of the only places where you can find and learn about the emerging Web3 and DAOs systems in a holistic and academic fashion. There is no bias towards specific applications (like DeFi) or specific workflows (like how to use ML). TE Academy’s ultimate goal is to be the missing liberal arts educational institution on everything DAO and Crypto.

What is the mission of TE Academy?

Our mission at TE Academy is to develop the new, crypto-native engineering discipline of token engineering through education and collaborations with the best researchers in crypto and academia. Our goal is to increase the number of experts in the field of token engineering and match them to crypto projects so that we can fully leverage the potential of token-based economic networks. And, last but not least, we explore and build up new Web3 value flows for education and research within this new field.
